The Challenge

Soflo, USA intended to build an app that would safeguard students, faculty & other members in school premises from unfortunate events like fire, intruders, gun shootouts, bad weather & others.

Idea was to build native android and iOS apps that can proactively and without fail alarm all students & members via notifications, and alarms. Also, log the incidents, set out clear instructions, and inform local authorities immediately.

The Solution

Fastcurve team built the application from scratch, alongside the business & product teams. Support for calls was setup using a cloud-based call center via AWS connect technology. Self-service had a containment rate of 65% 24x7, providing great relief to support teams. The system was bootstrapped using open-source technologies & parallel development was executed on the backend, web, android & ios.

API-based development allowed a faster execution cycle and proper planning ensured fewer errors.

Apps were launched on respective Play Store with various features like notifications on various events like fire, gun shootout, bad weather, etc, logging of events, informing required steps in case of an incident, reporting local authorities & others.
